Frequently asked questions

  • Breathwork and meditation are both practices that promote overall wellbeing, and they overlap in their emphasis on the mind-body connection and awareness. However, they differ in their techniques, focus, and goals. Breathwork involves specific breathing techniques designed to increase awareness of bodily sensations and release stored emotions, blocks, and trauma.

  • Deep and rhythmic breathing increases the amount of oxygen in the blood, which can lead to several physiological and psychological changes in the body, such as heightened awareness, elevated states of consciousness, emotional release, and tingling, numbing, or vibrating sensations in the hands, feet, or other parts of the body.

  • There are certain contraindications and precautions to consider, particularly for individuals with specific health conditions such as respiratory issues, cardiovascular problems, seizure disorders, pregnancy, or recent surgery or injury. As part of my client intake process, we will work together to assess whether breathwork is appropriate for you based on your health profile.

Hi, I’m Aliz – your certified breathwork facilitator

After spending years and years in the high-stress corporate environment of New York City, I felt how many, especially very sensitive and empathetic individuals, end up feeling – stressed, anxious, overwhelmed, burnt out, and everything in between.

To heal myself, I left New York and began soul searching. I am now pursuing my dream of supporting, guiding, and empowering people who are looking to embark on their own journeys of healing, transformation, and love.
